Give our children a fighting chance

We know that people on lower incomes are more likely to live near busy roads and yet less likely to own a car. Unjustly, it is their children most likely to be exposed to dangerous levels of air pollution as they walk to their nurseries or schools which are also more likely to be within areas of high pollution.

It is they who have the greatest need to monitor local pollution levels but are least able to afford to do so. They desperately need your help to buy a monitor, to measure local levels and take action to reduce their children’s exposure to the most harmful levels of pollution.

The government has abandoned these children and sentenced them to a lifelong increased risk of chronic respiratory diseases. There is also evidence to suggest that prolonged exposure to air pollution in childhood increases lifelong risk of heart disease, stroke and certain cancers.

Please support our campaign for local area pollution monitoring and give these little ninjas a fighting chance.
